I teach Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Yin Yoga in the Ilminster, Donyatt and Chard area of Somerset. I also teach yoga at Jordans Courtyard, Horton Cross.

Not all yoga classes are the same. There are different styles of yoga, some more dynamic then others. So you can pick and choose what you want depending on your mood, energy levels or ability. I mainly teach 4 types:
Hatha Yoga – this is great for beginners because you get to learn the poses, also suitable if you want a gentle style of yoga. Sessions start with warm up stretches, followed by traditional yoga poses. We end with a wonderful lying-down relaxation leaving you feeling soothed and calm.
Vinyasa Flow Yoga – is an energising, faster-paced yoga where you move continuously through a flowing sequence of yoga poses. This style will challenge your body, improving your strength as well as your flexibility. Perfect for anyone who has done yoga before, but also fine if you’re new to yoga and have a reasonable fitness level. So if you’re a runner, cyclist or weight trainer looking for a class that complements your training programme, this is the style for you.
Restorative Yoga – is a slow soothing gentle style which is suitable for complete beginners. We use lots of cushions and folded blankets to support your body as you lie back into a pose. As you relax your muscles slowly stretch out and release. It leaves you feeling very relaxed with a calm mind.
Yin Yoga – a slow style with seated or lying down poses held for 2 – 5 minutes. Yin yoga works on the fascia and meridian lines. You use your breath to slowly relax your muscles so you can move deeper into a pose targeting the connective tissue beneath the muscles. It’s a great way to release tension from your body.
When we get back to normal I teach in the following places:
- Monday evening at Donyatt Village Hall for Hatha Yoga and then Vinyasa Flow Yoga
- Tuesday morning in Ilminster for Hatha Yoga
- Tuesday evening at Jordans Courtyard for yin Yoga
- Wednesday evening at Donyatt for Hatha Yoga and then Vinyasa Flow Yoga
- Thursday morning at Jordans Courtyard for Beginners Yoga and Hatha Yoga
